AN ACT AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL, DIVISION OF FISH AND WILDLIFE, TO ISSUE A COMMERCIAL CRAB DREDGERS LICENSE TO SAMUEL J. FOX, III OF LEIPSIC, DELAWARE, WHO IS PRESENTLY PROHIBITED FROM OBTAINING A PERMIT UNDER §1918(b), TITLE 7 OF THE DELAWARE CODE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
WHEREAS, Mr. Samuel J. Fox, III of 42 Chestnut Street, Leipsic, Delaware has significant experience as a waterman; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fox’s father who possessed a commercial crab dredgers license, passed away in 1971; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fox would like to continue his father’s occupation; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fox’s father willed to him and his three siblings his entire estate; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fox’s siblings assigned any rights they have under the Last Will and Testament of their father’s crab dredgers license to Mr. Fox; and
WHEREAS, in 1990 the State authorized the transfer of crab dredgers licenses via wills; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fox should be given the opportunity to pursue a family occupation which his father willed him.
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Fish and Wildlife is hereby authorized and directed to issue a commercial crab dredgers license to Mr. Samuel J. Fox, III of 42 Chestnut Street, Leipsic, Delaware, notwithstanding the provisions of
§
1918(b), Title 7, Delaware Code.
