CHAPTER 55
Of Sheriffs.
AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 9, OF CHAMER 24 OF THE REVISED STATUTES OF DELAWARE IN RELATION TO SHERIFF'S BOND, AS SAID SECTION 9 IS AMENDED AND SUPPLIED BY CHAPTER 202, VOLUME 21, LAWS OF DELAWARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That Section 9 of Chapter 24, Revised Statutes of Delaware, as it is printed and published in Chapter 202, Volume 21, Laws of Delaware, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out of line seven the words "Fifty Thousand Dollars" and by inserting in lieu of said words, so stricken out, in said line seven, the words "Twenty-five thousand dollars;" that said Section 9, printed and published as aforesaid, be further amended by inserting in line twenty thereof after the word "office" and before the word "and" the words "of Sheriff well and faithfully execute the said office ;" and that, said Section 9, printed and published as aforesaid, be further amended by inserting in line twenty-one thereof, after the word "reposed" and before the word "then" the words "and if the said Sheriff as aforesaid, shall truly and without delay pay over to the County Treasurer all the fees, which it shall be his duty to collect, and which are to be paid to the County Treasurer."
