CHAPTER 26.

AN ACT authorizing the appointment of an additional Constable in New Castle County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met, That Levy court the Levy Court of New Castle county be and is hereby authorized and required to appoint an additional Constable for New Castle county, who shall reside in the town of Odessa, in St. George's hundred, in said county. Such constable shall have all the powers and perform all the duties pertaining to the office of constable under the laws of this State, except that he shall not be required to attend to any business, without his consent, at a greater distance than one mile from said town. The office of constable hereby created shall continue until this act shall be repealed, and appointments thereto shall be made and vacancies filled in the same manner as provided in similar cases by the laws and constitution of this State.
