CHAPTER 278 - STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT DESIGNATING AND NAMING "THE DUPONT PARKWAY"

AN ACT TO NAME THAT PART OF THE DELAWARE STATE HIGHWAY LEADING FROM THE CITY OF WILMINGTON THROUGH THE CITY OF DOVER TO THE DELAWARE-MARYLAND LINE AT DELMAR AND BEING A PART OF U. S. ROUTE NO. 13, THE DUPONT PARKWAY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That on and after the passage and approval of this Act, that part of the Delaware State Highway leading from the City of Wilmington through the City of Dover to the Delaware-Maryland State line at Delmar, and being a part of U. S. Route No. 13, shall be known and designated as the duPont Parkway; provided, that pending the completion of plans for road construction south of the City of Dover that only so much of the highway herein designated shall be presently known and designated as The duPont Parkway as extends from the City of Wilmington to the junction of the highways near the northern limits of the City of Dover and now known and designated as U. S. Routes Nos. 13 and 113.

Section 2. That the State Highway Department shall erect suitable markers to designate The duPont Parkway as aforesaid, such markers to be placed at such locations as may be deemed suitable in the discretion of the said Department.
