CHAPTER 72 - STAFF OF COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 8 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC ARMS AND DEFENSE BY PROVIDING FOR THE STAFF OF THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That Chapter 8 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out 259 Section 4 thereof and inserting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as 259 Section 4 as follows:

259 Sec. 4. Staff of Commander-in-Chief: The Staff of the Commander-in-Chief shall consist of three Aides-de-Camp, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, one to be appointed from each of the three counties of the State; who shall serve during the term of the Commander-in-Chief, provided, however, that the Commander-in-Chief, if he so desires, may reappoint to the same office members of the Staff, who have served in such office for ten years, and provided further, that if such Aides-de-Camp, one or more thereof, so to be appointed shall, at the time of such appointment be serving, or at any time in the past have served, in the armed forces or services of the United States of America with the rank of Colonel in the army, or the equivalent thereof in any other branch of such service, then the rank of such Aide-de-Camp so to be appointed shall be that of Colonel.
