CHAPTER 16 - INSURANCE COMPANIES - PERTAINING TO TAXES TO BE PAID BY INSURANCE COMPANIES
AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 6 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, ENTITLED "STATE REVENUE" PERTAINING TO TAXES TO BE PAID BY INSURANCE COMPANIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That Chapter 6 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out of the first paragraph of 87. Section 53 thereof the following words, to wit:
"one and one-half per centum"
and inserting in lieu thereof the following words, to wit: "one and three-fourths per centum".
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on the first day of January 1946, but shall apply to the gross amount of premiums received and assessments collected under the provisions of 87 Section 53 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, as amended, for the calendar year 1945 and each calendar year thereafter.
