CHAPTER 5 - EXEMPTING CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS ON PUBLIC LANDS FROM TAXATION

AN ACT TO AMEND ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 44, REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO VALUATION AND ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY BY EXEMPTING CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS ON PUBLIC LANDS OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That 1258. Sec. 1. of Article 1, Chapter 44, Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding a new paragraph at the end of said section, as follows:

All public lands belonging to the State of Delaware and located in Sussex County which by Legislative enactment are held in trust by any municipal corporation of said State, and by it leased for an annual cash rental to any individual, association, corporation or partnership for manufacturing purposes, shall, together with any improvements thereon, be exempt from taxation by said Municipal Corporation.
