CHAPTER 111

HOUSTON

AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF HOUSTON, CHAPTER 240, VOLUME 27, LAWS OF DELAWARE, WITH RESPECT TO TOWN POLICE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware (two-thirds of all Members elected to each House concurring therein):

Section 1. Section 13, Chapter 240, Volume 27, Laws of Delaware, is hereby amended to read as follows :

Section 13. The Commissioners are authorized to appoint town police officers, who shall compel obedience to the ordinances of the town and the laws of the State. Each town police officer shall be vested with all the power and authority of a constable of Kent County within the town limits and within one (1) mile outside said limits, and in the case of the pursuit of an offender his power and authority shall extend to all parts of the State of Delaware.
