AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CAESAR RODNEY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO USE FUNDS FROM THE SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION BOND REVERSION ACCOUNT FOR ENLARGING AND EQUIPPING THE CHARLTON SCHOOL.

WHEREAS, the Charlton School of the Caesar Rodney School District has increased its enrollment including many retarded children who require special help; and WHEREAS, funds are required to provide for enlarging and equipping the Charlton School; and

WHEREAS, as of June 16, 1977, the balances in the respective school construction bond accounts (47515, Title 29, Delaware Code) totaled more than $800,000; and

WHEREAS, it is estimated that the proposed cost of the Charlton School project will be $607,000; and

WHEREAS, it is of special importance that funds be made available immediately for the enlarging and equipping of the Charlton School.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Board of Education of the Caesar Rodney School District the sum of $607,000 from the bond reversion accounts (47515, Title 29, Delaware Code).

Section 2. The funds so appropriated to the Caesar Rodney School District shall be used only for the purpose of enlarging and equipping the Charlton School.

Section 3. Funds appropriated by this Act shall be used under the supervision of the State Board of Education.

Section 4. Any funds appropriated by this Act not expended by June 30, 1980, shall revert to the School Construction Bond Reversion Account (47515, Title 29, Delaware Code).
