AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 16, SECTION 122, DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF THE SPREAD OF VACCINE PREVENTABLE DISEASES IN CHILDREN.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend Section 122 (3), Title IC Delaware Code by adding a new subsection n. to read as follows:
"n. Prevent and control the spread of vaccine preventable diseases in children, includi g regulation of non-public elementary and secondary schools and day care and other pre-school facilities; provided, however, that nothing in this subparagraph shall require medical treatment for the minor child of any person who is a member of a recognized church or religious denomination and whose religious convictions, in accordance with the tenets and practices of his church or religious denomination, are against medical treatment for disease."
