AN ACT TO AMEND AN ACT BEING CHAPTER 170, VOLUME 57, LAWS OF DELAWARE, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO REINCORPORATE THE CITY OF LEWES", TO AMEND SECTION 9, "REGULAR AND SPECIAL MEETINGS", BY BROADENING THE OPTIONS FOR MEETING DATES FOR THE REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE (Two-thirds of all members elected to each house thereof concurring therein):
Section 1. Amend Section 9, REGULAR AND SPECIAL MEETINGS, of Chapter 170, Volume 57, Laws of Delaware, as amended, by deleting the second sentence thereof and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
“If the second Monday of the month shall be a legal holiday or a quorum cannot be obtained, the monthly meeting of the City Council of the City of Lewes shall be held on another day within the same month.”.
