Representative Raymond Seigfried (D)
Representative Seigfried is a long-term resident of Arden. Before becoming a legislator, he taught Healthcare Policy and Healthcare Administration as a visiting professor at Arcadia University in the School of Global Business. At Christiana Care Health System, he was a Senior Vice President of Administration responsible for many operational departments. During his leadership at CCHS, he received national recognition as a Bellwether League Honoree for his innovation and excellence in Supply Chain and, from The Healthcare Advisory Board Academy Fellowship program for his effective work in leading diverse teams. He has also published several articles on various healthcare topics. As an adjunct professor at Penn State University Brandywine Campus, he taught Business Ethics and System Theory. Ray was elected eight years as Chairman of Arden’s Community Planning Committee and spent six years as a Board member on The Wilmington HOPE COMMISSION.
He is also a member of the Arden Club, Claymont Lions and Library, and Son of the American Legion.
