SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 5 |

CONGRATULATING MASSMUTUAL FOR ITS LIFEBRIDGE FREE LIFE INSURANCE PROGRAM AND ENCOURAGING ELIGIBLE DELAWAREANS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT PROGRAM. |
WHEREAS, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) has created the LifeBridge Free Life Insurance Program; and
WHEREAS, the LifeBridge Program is a term life insurance policy which would pay $50,000 in trust for a child(ren)’s education should the insured parent or legal guardian die in the next 10 years; and
WHEREAS, a parent or legal guardian (one per household) between 19 and 42 years of age with a household income of between $10,000 and $40,000 in good health and not a substance abuser or on probation, may be eligible for the LifeBridge Program; and
WHEREAS, MassMutual has pledged to issue policies until 20,000 have been issued or until December 31, 2007, whichever comes first; and
WHEREAS, as of January 17, 2007, only 6,200 policies have been issued; and
WHEREAS, eligible Delawareans can’t take advantage of this offer if they are not aware of its existence; and
WHEREAS, MassMutual has provided a toll free number (1-800-272-2216) for interested parents and legal guardians to call for additional information and how to apply.
NOW, THEREFORE:

This Concurrent Resolution congratulates MassMutual for its LifeBridge Free Life Insurance Program and encourages eligible Delawareans to take advantage of that program. |
