AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE SELLING OF LICENSE PLATES COVERS AND FRAMES. |
BE IT ENACTED
BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF
Section 1. Amend §2126 of Title 21, Delaware Code by adding thereto the following:
“(f) It shall be unlawful to sell any license plate cover or frame which would violate subsection (c) of this section. Any person convicted of a violation of this section shall be fined not less than $50 and not more than $100 and shall pay restitution to the purchaser of the license plate cover or frame in the amount of ten times the purchase price.”.
SYNOPSIS
Currently it is illegal for someone to drive their car with their license plate covered with tinted material or otherwise concealed or obscured. This Bill makes it illegal to sell license plate covers or frames which are illegal to use. |
